Well, I have a video player and even a hook for a cable television recorder .... but no television.

That will not happen .... Based upon the graphics card is no input, so do not expect your VCR to get in touch .....
And a video player is not compatible with the output of the monitor or the other ....
No adapter, no .... It's time for TV .....
